All main roads in Dobrich region closed. Varna airport closed. Burgas airport open.Most planes from Sofia airport are taking off with 1-2 hour delays, passengers are being warned to arrive at least two hours before the flight.
All travel is discouraged unless essential.Warnings issued for the next two days.Severe weather likely to persist until Friday. Power outages reported in remoter villages and frozen water supplies.
A 'Code Yellow' warning is in force in all of Bulgaria's 28 regions for extremely low temperatures, and Varna and Dobrich are included in a warning for high winds. A fatal combination.
