I have been to Albena, and Balchik to the beach and restaurants,bars etc.We sat on the beach and there were maybe 30-50 people there.The recession is hitting and hitting hard.Scandinavians,Germans,Romanians, Russians but no Brits,Irish etc.This year is a disaster for Bulgarian tourism.
The authorities need to look hard at pricing and quality, the tourist market is much more consumerist now, and cost and quality need to be looked at good and hard, otherwise the economy will go into freefall.
