Uncles' Comment: Statistics in Bulgaria are notoriously unreliable.However if we take the year on year figures and then look at the last quarter it seems to show a flattening out of the market.That might more correctly be called a 'flat-lining' since, with stagnant demand, it cannot begin to recover until liquidity returns to the market.

Uncles' Comment: This so called 'deal' has gone through without government approval, and is there fore a 'non-deal'.Eon was widely regarded as a poor provider, and has probably opted out of the Bulgaria as it is not so profitable as its more lucrative Western European markets.

Breaking News !! Varna Airport closed till May !!

I have it from informed sources that Varna airport will be closed until May, not February, as the work is over-running.This is bad news for the local economy and inconvenient for people having to trek from Burgas.Keep posted for events.

UPDATE: Bookings are being taken from the 20th March.The runway is now finished.
