Expat Blog
Many thanks from our friends at Expat Focus Blog for our latest award for Blogging excellence. We do really appreciate all your kind words. But it's up to you dear readers to contribute too.We want your news and views from all over Bulgaria to keep this as Bulgaria's No.1 English language blog.
Since our dear friends at the Frontier Times no longer publish, and the Sofia Echo is no longer in print form, let us take the opportunity to develop citizen journalism in Bulgaria. The challenge is yours...........
Please be aware that this is now the leading, premier, or whatever you will have it..English language Blog about Bulgaria.

Bulgaria Travel Adventure - Unscene Productions
Some quite good video, though to English ears the American's commentary grates a bit: lots of 'cool' 'awesome' etc.
Angry bulgarian
You may be relieved to know that this guys behaviour is at the extreme end of how badly Bulgarian employers treat their staff.

Opinion Poll Update.
Well Sofia has pulled into a small lead in our highly unscientific 'Your Favourite Place In Bulgaria' poll.I don't think the Bulgaria Tourist Board will be taking much notice, but there are a few interesting trends.
First one is that I think natives of Sofia tend to be voting for the capitol, secondly there is very little enthusiasm for the ski resorts, despite the fact that Bansko has just been voted cheapest ski destination in Europe. I suppose it's a bit like the Titanic being voted best ocean liner (in property terms).
Thirdly very few votes for Plovdiv, despite the fact it is purportedly very nice at a number of levels, not least historically and culturally. Southern Bulgaria is still pretty unexplored by our readers it appears, or at least unappreciated.

To reiterate my usual comment ; Sofia taxi's need to be treated with caution as to their rip-offs, so only use OKSupertrans taxis, with them you can phone up and order in English and prices are normal.
