Here they come......
Keith Vaz and some other idiot MP will be at Luton airport tomorrow to see the 'hordes' of Romanians arrive..Perhaps someone should tell them that a flight arriving at 7.40am on a Wednesday with a capacity of 200 odd is not really an accurate or empirical assessment.Then again dear old Keith cannot add up his expenses anyway
2013: a Review of our year on Uncle Bulgaria Blog
It has been an interesting year on this blog.Yours truly has been interviewed by BBC radio, and the hits just keep on coming.The loyalty and interest of the readership is greatly appreciated.As mentioned, in earlier posts, we are interested in regional contributions (that are topical) from all parts of Bulgaria.
However, for now, here is a review of what proved popular on the blog this year:
Dobrich's new ,and I think temporary, skating rink proved a great seasonal hit, but throughout the year a documentary about organised crime in Bulgaria was a major hit, as was the usual stuff on the weather.
Easyjet's ticketing malfunctions featured prominently, and the fans of random and gratuitous violence liked the report that Sylvester Stallone was buying a 'pied a terre' in Bulgaria( following his last visit).
My various property offers seemed to go down well.
All in all it has been an interesting year, but Bulgaria needs to get back on the radar, and for the right reasons.
